QARYAT AL-FAW COLLECTION

Collection Design Concept:

This collection draws its design from an aerial view of the village of Al-Faw, where I reimagined the layout of buildings, alleys, and urban spaces as an interlocking geometric grid. The pieces do not replicate the map literally, but rather distill its urban composition and transform it into contemporary, wearable works of art.

The green stones symbolize life and the agricultural and commercial prosperity of Al-Faw, and their contrast with the golden metal creates a balance between architectural geometry and the vitality of nature.

The collection transforms Al-Faw’s urban fabric into geometric compositions that combine lines, voids, and intersections, making the city’s architectural features and pathways the foundation for wearable art pieces. Rather than simply recreating the place as it was, the collection offers a contemporary interpretation of its architecture, evoking its memory and giving it a new presence that leaves room for discovery and interpretation.
